It seems that your card fried.. I don't think that much can be done. You have to get it to repair shop and they will tell you if they can repair it but I think it would be just cheaper and faster to get new graphic card.

How do you believe a child should be disciplined?

I got slapped and hit a lot as a child, and I think I turned out pretty well. The only negative that I can observe is that I was a very subdued child...I was very shy and afraid of a lot of things, but I've grown out of that. My little sister, on the other hand, NEVER got hit as a child. I love her to death, but she might be the brattiest teenager I've ever seen. This is probably a very narrow example, but it's why I believe kids should be disciplined the old-fashioned way!

Decreased fetal movement in 20 weeks?

i am 20 weeks pregnant, i have been feeling my baby move inside me quiet regularly and frequently since two weeks now. for the last 3-4 days the movement has decreased and there hasn't been a movement (i have not felt it) since yesterday morning (almost 24 hrs). i dont knw if its normal or is it a cause to worry? i have also not been feeling very hungry lately unlike the beginning of my second trimester when i used to feel hungry all the time, now i just feel like having a lot of water and other liquids. this may be because of the extremely hot weather i am in, does it have to do something with the baby kicking? i am a little worried but i dont want to be freaked out just yet. has this happened to anyone else? is this a normal thing to happen? or should i see my doctor asap?

So today I got my repost card back. I had four A's and a B+ (in math). Unfortunately for me this trimester I was sick A LOT so i missed about 11 assignments in math. Questions about Prenatal Blood tests?

Ok so I am currently 11 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. My first child is 9 1/2, so it has been a while since I have done all of this prenatal stuff, and times have changed since 10 years ago. I had my first prenatal blood test, and pap smear a few weeks ago. Everything was good for the most part. My thyroid level was low, which I was told could be due to hormone changes due to pregnancy in the first trimester, and it should level back out in the second trimester. Does anyone have any experience with this matter? Also I had a full std panel and hpv, excluding hiv checked. I came back with a minor yeast infection which caused my pap to be abnormal. I have never had a yeast infection before, but was also told it could be due to the hormone changes, and is common during pregnancy? Again thoughts from anyone with this experience? Also back to the stds, like I said I was checked for it all but hiv. The only reason I wasnt tested for that was because I have had the test done before, during my last pregnancy. I have been with my husband for over 3 years, and felt that if I had something like that it would have shown up somewhere in my blood work. I have also never had an STD, so it would be unlikely to have hiv right? But then I got to thinking I should just have it done for peace of mind, because its bothering me LOL! So I think I will have it done on my next blood work. Thoughts on that as well? I would appreciate answers from ladies who have been there and know what they are talking about. Thank you.

Normal bleeding or probable miscarriage?

I am now 5 weeks pregnant. For the past week, I have had a pretty normal pregnancy, except for the lgiht bleeding that occured last week. I went to the ER on Thursday and since I was only 4 weeks and 3 days, the ultrasound didn't show anything relating to the baby. My HCG level was 765. The next day, I had another quantative hcg test done, and my levels were over the 1500's. I was happy and so was the doctor, but he stressed that I wasn't out of the wood quite yet. I went in today (Monday) and had one more test done. My levels were well into the mid 4000's, and my doctor was pleased, and then I had a big problem happen. I started bleeding. It was not a bright red, but more of a red with a brownish tinge to it. It only happened for maybe 20 minutes or so, and it wasn't like I was bleeding heavily, just whenever I wiped, that blood stuff was there. So then I got scared and called the doctor back. She wants another HCG blood test done on Wednesday, and then she wants me to go in for an ultrasound next week when I am 6 weeks, to make sure there is a heart beat and that everything looks normal, if this turns out not to be a miscarriage. I wasn't having any cramping at all, so the doctor told me that was a good sign. So any ladies out there have this occur to you in the very beginning of your pregnancy, and had a normal pregnancy after the first trimester! Please, words of wisdom!! Thanks ladies!

Yesterday I shaved my entire pubic region and today while I was using the restroom I noticed a single red bump with a white head on it, like a pimple. It wasn't on my vagina it was where the hair grows right above it. So I popped it, and there really wasn't anything that came out just the white head came off. There's no itching and I am pretty sure I don't have any diseases because I am pregnant and was tested during my first trimester. but is this normal? What could it be?

Landlord working on my house: your opinion?

My husband and I moved into a 60-year-old house about three months ago. The house was unpainted at the time. The house is owned by a couple who own several other homes in our area. They asked if the house being unpainted was a problem for us, and I told them, "Not as long as it is painted soon, and the work on it doesn't drag on and on. If it's finished fast, it will be okay." I am pregnant, and when I got into the third trimester, I contacted the landlady to let her know they needed to begin work on the house. Her husband had told me it would take 8 weeks to paint it, and I only had 8 weeks left until my baby could come. They started about two weeks after this. She told me it should take 2-3 weeks, that her husband was wrong, and it would not take 8. Well, our landlord is a do-it-yourself type of guy, a terrible time manager as well, and he has some OCD tendencies. After a week and a half of noisy sanding and scraping, he seems to have fired the painting crew and is now sanding the ENTIRE HOUSE by himself, because no one can get it as perfect as he can. It's been almost three weeks, and he's not even finished sanding/scraping ONE wall of our home. I'm about three weeks from being full term, and the non-stop hammering noise is driving me insane. Our landlord is so slow, we feel that this project could take months. We have made it clear to them from the beginning that ANY work being done on our home when the baby is here is completely unacceptable. They agreed to this, but now it is looking like he may not finish in time. I'm very upset about this. For days, the landlord has been at our house alone, tinkering with the sanding and not getting anything done. I have no idea when the paint team will be back, or if they ever will be. It's just been a major source of stress-- largely because he is SO slow and cannot be trusted to get anything done. My husband and I are planning to tell him this afternoon that we are concerned, and try to speed him along- but the fact is, this is HIS house. He owns it, not us. If he wants to be a perfectionist, we can't really stop him. What is your take on this. Any advice? Hi. My doc has prescribed a progesterone pill for me to start taking one day after I ovulate. I have low levels of progesterone and, although my cycles are very regular (and I have no problem ovulating) I begin spotting about 7 days before my period begins. Is it ok for vagina lips to be aching during pregnancy 3rd trimester?

Yes its normal i had it with my first it started at around 32 weeks cuz he was very big and low but wasnt on bed rest or anything just a big baby.. With my 2nd now it started at 24 weeks becuz she dropped on me and had to get two steriod shots and put on bed rest. They have gotten worse recent cuz she is now 2 inches from comin out of me and i have contractions everyday since 24 weeks.. I take pills to stop them to try and make it to 34+ weeks. My husband & I want to have another baby and I've spoken with my doctor about the medications I'm currently taking. According to the warning label on the Wellbutrin it's okay for Trimesters 1 & 2 but not for Trimester 3... I'm trying to decide whether I want to risk taking it, my Dr. said ultimately it's up to me but that it's benefits outweigh the risks since stress is not good for the baby but I know I'm going to stress about putting chemicals into my body that could harm the baby. I've already given up caffeine & artificial sweeteners. I wasn't on any medications during my first pregnancy & while I was experiencing my depression & anxiety, my son seems to be fine. I'm not asking for medical advice, more for experiences from other mom's. I don't smoke or drink and only take a few medications at the moment. What I'd like to know is if anyone out there took Wellbutrin while pregnant? (Preferably just that so any issues couldn't have come from somewhere else) If so, did your baby have any birth defects or other problems? My advice as a mother and a pregnant woman currently as well is, if the dr said not to do it, DO NOT DO IT. There are reasons they tell you not to do it (same as there are stupid laws and rules but only bc someone did them first) and the risk of losing the baby are not worth the trip. He is your DR for a reason...especially since he did an extra 8 or so years after a bachelors degree in college, I'd say he is qualified to tell you not to go and should be enough for you not to go. I know you read stuff online but hello, you can find anything to support or reject whatever you want to online. Trust the doc

I really want to get into Hamline University, it is honestly my dream school. My grades have been very inconsistent, therefore leaving me with a rough 2.5 GPA, hoping I can get it up a little bit more with my first trimester in my senior year before I send in my application. Severe UTI in second trimester?

I'm curious if this is common during pregnancy? I just had my first baby 13 months ago and never had a UTI with her. What freaks me out the most is how sudden it came upon me. There were no warning signs at all. One part of the day I was fine and then suddenly I'm peeing every minute and it feels like I'm peeing glass. Very painful. I started bleeding and that freaked me out so I went in to see the dr and she wasn't available so I had to see the nurse practitioner. I had level 3 blood in my urine. She listened to the baby's heartbeat and checked me vaginally. Everything seemed fine. She told me to take AZO. Are you kidding me?!? I was in so much pain and so uncomfortable and she isn't going to prescribe me an antibiotic to clear this up????? So now I'm worried because I feel like she didn't examine me well enough since she obviously didn't have a brain. Its been 4 days now and I'm still feeling funky. Not sure what to do. I've taken the AZO, cranberry juice and plenty of water. I've also been taking an antibiotic they gave me for a bladder infection during my first trimester that I never took. Called the nurse and she said it was ok to take it. Is this common or should I try to speak to my doctor about this?

last night i took my cat out on her harness and leash just to get a little fresh air and my sister moved a patio chair and she freaked out and started jumping and going crazy. she literally looked like a fish out of water. she was flipping and landing on the cement. i took her inside n felt her all over to check for signs of sensitivity but she didnt react. but today she has been very mild and subdued (shes usually playful and silly) and i dont know if shes hurt or bruised or what please help. btw she had no cuts either. no swelling either i dont think

Since the of 12 years old my bestie has always carried on numerous of "phone relationships" with guys without ever meeting them ever! Having pain in first trimester.?

How do I know if I am having nerve problems or ectopic pregnancy. It sometimes seems to start near the lower right of my spine and a crampy hot pain seems to travel around the top of right hip and under the front of the hip. Sometimes when I am relaxing its get much worse. Like when I am sleeping. This is the third pregnancy and I lost the other two. I was put on progesterone a week ago. I could be wrong, but it seems like the pain got a little stronger when I started it. This isn't constant pain. It seems like if I move around a bit and maybe take a bathroom break, the pain seems to leave. It doesn't seem to last for than 5 minutes maybe tops.

Update to my last post?

I would like to thank you all for your advice on my last post. I took my puppy to the vets earlier today. She checked him over after i had explained to her what was going on. She said he is an over confident puppy that is trying to get ahead of me in the "pack". She also told me this behaviour is common in dogs aged 12-8 months, she has never seen it in a puppy of 5 months and its a little worrying. She has recommended i get him castrated as soon as possible before he hits "puberty" as things may get out of control if he continues with this behaviour. She recommended that i also buy a harness and i attach a lead to him so i can remove him without having to touch him. She assured me that with the kids it was just playing. I also mentioned i was due to be getting another puppy in just over a weeks time did she think it was a good idea. She said she thinks it would be a good idea as it would give him someone to play with also it may calm his confidence down slightly as he will tire himself out and give him someone to show what is what. I did mention as well because some people have told me it is my fault for not training him properly, she assured me that his basic training must be fine because he responds to commands my 4 year old gives him but he doesn't see her as a threat because she is not top dog. I just hope castration works, he is booked in next week, by which time he will be 5 and a half months old. I will keep you posted

Am I eating healthy enough in first trimester?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and having the usual nausea/food aversions/sensitivities to smell. I am taking a prenatal vitamin and usually have a bowl of total raisin bran with fruit in the morning, or eggs, and sometimes both. The rest of the day, however, my appetite declines and I find it difficult to eat much of high nutritional value. Yesterday I had TWO Auntie Ann's pretzels and cheese sauce for lunch, a peach for a snack, and pb & j for dinner with a yogurt, although I was very nauseous after dinner. The soft pretzels are my one HUGE craving right now, and I have been eating a ridiculous number of these, so many that I told my husband we're going to have a pretzel in 7 months, lol. Does anyone have a take on this? Am I getting enough nutrition? Is it okay to binge on Auntie Ann's constantly? I'd appreciate any thoughts- thanks!

Excruciating stomach pains...?

I get stomach aches that hit me all the sudden. The pain fluctuates. It gets unbearably bad, to the point where you can't sit still and feel like crawling out of your skin. A minute later it will subdue, just to arise again. I've kept track of what I'm eating and there doesn't seem to be a correlation between what I eat. I think food triggers it and makes it worse, but it's not every time I eat. Episodes are short, anywhere from 5- 30 minutes. I've tried everything, ibuprofen, tums. Nothing helps. Any ideas on what this could be?

Top Finger Nail Ripped?

I usually grow my finger nails long and i get too lazy to cut them. I was going to cut them in a few days until my left pointer finger nail started ripping off. Not like the whole nail coming off but only the top. (The white part of the top finger nail). The skin is like attached to the nail and it's like hanging on to it. The more it came off the more it was bleeding. Right now it's like on the end of the nail and is hanging on to the skin. I am not pulling it off because it hurts a lot when i do. All i really see right now is blood and the skin peeling off. It kinda reminds me of a tooth. Like when your tooth is loose and it's hanging onto that thingy that hangs. There is really not much you can do to make it heal faster.The best thing to do is just keep it clean. Also don't cover it up with a bandage it will heal faster if it is exposed to air but try not to make to much contact with sunlight because it may leave a scar.

I am now 19 weeks pregnant. I have been putting sretch mark cream on my belly since about 10 weeks. I already have a big belly to be 19 weeks, and don't have stretch marks on my belly! I never thought to put some on my thighs....I was always average weight for my age and height so it kinda bothers me that I have them! How do I finish with someone who hurts me when I get too attached?

When I know I am being mistreated instead of finishing it, I go quiet and get worried. I put up with it & this had led me to physical abuse from partners in the past. It's like I can't DEMAND to be treated well or something. When he says 'if you go out dancing every again we're finished. I am not the sort that can say. Get lost then, instead, I don't dance..... My step son is stealing from my house?

My partner and I have a 3 month old together. I also have a 16 year old and seven year old to my husband who passed away. My current partner has a 12 year old daughter to one woman, and a 11 year old son and 7 year old daughter to another woman. He has his kids over every second weekend and any other time the mothers ask him to, which lately has been most weekends. These kids are very poorly behaved. 2 visits ago the 11 year old boy was standing on the edge of the pool peeing in it and the 7 year old poohed beside the pool. Neither child was smacked, just told if they did it again they would be banned for a while. They run around my house all weekend. Make mess everywhere. Grab fresh towels for every swim and every shower. Only eat crap food. To the point where I really can't be bothered cooking for them any more cause they just say Yuk! and don't eat it. The very last visit they were going through my boxes downstairs, these boxes where sealed. I caught them and told them in no uncertain terms to stay out of them. I have my dead husband in an urn in one of those boxes and a heap of other valuables. I also have a presents box with new stuff I had bought on sale that is great for gifts. This box had been gone through. Again I said stay away from my things. The night after they left, I found tags from the new things in the box discarded on the floor and noticed that the items attached to these tags had disappeared. I told my partner and he rang his son and he had the items. He said my 7 year old daughter said he could have them, which I know is rubbish because she was the one that alerted me to them going through my stuff. My partner saw he had some of his stuff from downstairs when he was leaving but decided he could have what he had found of his. He asked him what else he had in his bag, and he said nothing. I should have insisted we check his bag but didn't. My partner believes that he hasn't done anything wrong because he believes my 7 year old said he could have my stuff. I enjoy the entire concept but instead of killing Izene could you. make it look like everyone thinks she is dead but she some how comes back by some strange power. because readers will want to put down the book if they find out the protagonists partner cannot be trusted at all, especially female readers. Make it so that Izene comes back and gets Tel out of his pathetic phase by knocking some kind of sense into him. But its just a suggestion after all it is your book.

Frequent painful cramps in 2nd trimester?

I'm 15 weeks 5 days pregnant with baby #2. I got a few cramps early on and my doc said it was my uterus stretching. They stopped for awhile, but now i get them when i go up and down the stairs, lift something with difficulty, or do much physical work at all. My son is 24 lbs, and i get cramps when i pick him up. Sometimes i get cramps for no reason at all. They're almost debilitating, and i have to sit still and groan until they go away. There is no bleeding, but i still don't feel that it's normal. I have my next pre-natal appointment tomorrow, so i will ask then. But in the meantime, has anyone else had this? Is this something to worry about? I missed my vitamins for awhile, but have started taking them again. Help? Thank you.

1st Trimester spotting?

Hi. I am 8-9 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. I started a little bit of spotting on Friday. It stopped as fast as it started but then returned briefly on Saturday. Then I had it again on Monday. Today is Thursday and it has not yet returned. The spotting is only upon wiping and is a red-brown color (however on monday it was more a bright red). I have no cramping or have not recently had sex or a pelvic exam. I have called the nurse and am going in tomorrow to see the doctor. Meanwhile, wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if so, what was the outcome? Thanks!

God im so scared. Tomorrow, im having surgery on my elbow. I was tripped on concrete and I fractured my elbow. I prefer the TASER over my baton but carry one anyway. The baton can take out a car window if you have to extract a accident victim, the TASER can drop someone from 25 feet away. A baton can be used for leverage to pry someones arm behind the back. A Taser can keep a person incapacitated until backup arrives. Severly constipated during 2nd trimester help :(!?

Just out of curiosity have you looked for someone who can help you develop as a family. A friend or friend's parents that you could live with? You can insure that your babies be adopted together however that doesn't sound like what you want. I am a mom to an adopted little boy and he is my pride and joy. But you have to live with this for the rest of your life. And at 16 it will be hard to provide, but not impossible. You need some encouragement and maybe even a mentor to help you get through this. Which ever decision you make will be what you have to live with and unless we were in your exact position, we don't know how we would respond. But you have a tough road ahead of you. Problems with rental house! Help!?

My husband and I moved into a 60-year-old house about three months ago. The house was unpainted at the time. The house is owned by a couple who own several other homes in our area. They asked if the house being unpainted was a problem for us, and I told them, "Not as long as it is painted soon, and the work on it doesn't drag on and on. If it's finished fast, it will be okay." I am pregnant, and when I got into the third trimester, I contacted the landlady to let her know they needed to begin work on the house. Her husband had told me it would take 8 weeks to paint it, and I only had 8 weeks left until my baby could come. They started about two weeks after this. She told me it should take 2-3 weeks, that her husband was wrong, and it would not take 8. Well, our landlord is a do-it-yourself type of guy, a terrible time manager as well, and he has some OCD tendencies. After a week and a half of noisy sanding and scraping, he seems to have fired the painting crew and is now sanding the ENTIRE HOUSE by himself, because no one can get it as perfect as he can. It's been almost three weeks, and he's not even finished sanding/scraping ONE wall of our home. I'm about three weeks from being full term, and the non-stop hammering noise is driving me insane. Our landlord is so slow, we feel that this project could take months. We have made it clear to them from the beginning that ANY work being done on our home when the baby is here is completely unacceptable. They agreed to this, but now it is looking like he may not finish in time. I'm very upset about this. For days, the landlord has been at our house alone, tinkering with the sanding and not getting anything done. I have no idea when the paint team will be back, or if they ever will be. It's just been a major source of stress-- largely because he is SO slow and cannot be trusted to get anything done. My husband and I are planning to tell him this afternoon that we are concerned, and try to speed him along- but the fact is, this is HIS house. He owns it, not us. If he wants to be a perfectionist, we can't really stop him. What is your take on this. Any advice? If I could tell you how loud this work is, you would understand why it cannot go on with a new infant in our small house. :(

When I even walk, my poison ivy hurts so bad I have to walk lopsided?

I got poison ivy a little over 4 days ago, and day by day, the rash has begun to blister over, but also, day by day, the pain of it increases more and more. I can't walk straight, my clothing rubs on it and makes my sides raw, and sleeping is an all night nightmare. I'm waking up at 4:00 AM every night because it hurts so bad when I sleep. Someone please help me on how to subdue this never-ending pain! :(

I'm not sure what you should do, but this is a good indication of how supportive he will be of you through future challenges in your life. Plus, he's just a kid. You can't expect much from kids, like adult behavior. I guess you should get your mom to be there for you.

She is fine, probably a little thirsty and tired. A cats nose can change form wet to dry to warm to cold depending on mood, what the day is like, yadda yadda.. alot of different things. It really doesnt matter in the ends. A wet or dry nose, cold or warm, Doesn't indicate that anything is wrong with your cat. Turns out its an old wives tale. Go figure.

Yes. It will probably take the better part of a week for it to settle down and get to know its enclosure and recognize you. they are usually upset when they have been permamentaly moved, but most of them cheer up and eat within a week to 10 days..

Yes it is normal for your symptoms to go away during the second trimester. For me it was amazing compared to the 1st and 3rd, my 1st was nothing but morning sickness and my 3rd was exhausting and frustrating. Just frustrating because I was always tired and very uncomfortable. If your doctor is acting lazy I would suggest finding a new doctor, you don't need the sonogram machine to hear your babys heartbeat... my doctor used a a little stethascope machine that told him how fast my babys heartbeat was, I was also able to hear it at the same time so was my husband. So don't worry, your 2nd trimester should be a breeze and hopefully your doctor gets better at his job, laziness isn't part it. Good luck and best wishes!

Something horrible is happening to me and I don't know why?

Everything has failed to subdue me. Now everything seems dull: another sunrise, the lives of heroes, falling in love, war, the discoveries people make about each other. The only thing that doesn't bore me, obviously enough, is how much money my colleague makes, and yet in its obviousness it does. There isn't a clear, identifiable emotion within me, except for greed and, possibly, total disgust. I have all the characteristics of a human being — flesh, blood, skin, hair — but my depersonalization is so intense, has gone so deep, that the normal ability to feel compassion has been eradicated, the victim of a slow, purposeful erasure. I am simply imitating reality, a rough resemblance of a human being, with only a dim corner of my mind functioning. Something horrible is happening and yet I cannot figure out why; I cannot put my finger on it.

High blood pressure during first trimester?

I been having hypertension throughout my first trimester ranging 135/68 - 155/72 it rises when i'm walking around and being active but when i sit and rest it drops. I'm now 12 weeks 5 days and have an appointment to talk to my doctor about getting medication that's safe to use during pregnancy but is the damage already done? I've read that high blood pressure decreases oxygen to the fetus and causes brain damage and i'm very worried.. has anyone had a normal healthy child after going through almost their entire first trimester with uncontrolled hypertension?

How do you feel about your dog?

Is he just a pet to you? A best friend? Family member? To me, my dog is like my son, my little boy to be exact. I've had him since he was a pup, and I'm very attached to him. I can tell I'm his favorite because he follows me the most around, only sleeps in my room and sleeps very close to me, he licks me when I feed him, bathe him, take him for a walk, I feel like my dog is a human, and all he needs is to speak. To me he is my pride and joy, my best friend, my little son and a family member. Yes, we have our ups and downs, he does make me mad, but I love him. :)

Continuous headaches during 2nd trimester pregnancy?

I just hit 17 weeks prego and since iv been about 14 weeks pregnant iv been having headaches. at first they weren't to bad but now there more and more frequent throughout the whole day and tend to increase when i move around. My OB told me to invest in a maternity support belt because of all the pressure in my lower half. My baby is causing me to have pelvic bone separations and a few other issues. 1st Trimester Fatigue! How can I boost energy!?

I have terrible first trimester fatigue. This is my second child and with my first I had fatigue and morning sickness the whole time, but now its almost like as soon as I was 5 weeks pregnant I felt as though my head weighed 100 lbs and my body was sooo sick! Of course I have morning sickness (I can't go a single morning without throwing up) and I feel as though I probably will the whole time. But I do not want to be sick and lethargic this time! I want to not feel tired and useless! My husband works and I just graduated with my bachelors and am currently looking for a job (I know I'll be working pregnant but we need money). He doesn't understand why I wake up sick in the middle of the night and says that I am pretending to have morning sickness and its all in my head. (Like I want to be sick!) I also can't get any sleep cause of my back and peeing so often! I just want energy. Is there any supplements or activities that are useful? I know going on walks helps but my husband makes me feel bad if I leave the house, especially for something that's not beneficial to the household. Please help!

I just found out last night that I will be having another baby. My husband and I have talked about it with our son but now that I am finally pregnant we fear we might have made the wrong choice. We have always asked our son how he would feel if he had a brother or sister and his response was always 'I don't want one". I always took it with a grain of salt and didn't think much of it. Well tonight at dinner we were asking him again and I asked why he doesn't want a sibling and his response tonight night was " Because you and Daddy won't love me anymore".
