Were mormons responsible for massacure at mountain meadows?

this is an add on for two prior questions on this subject. gordon hinkley, prophet of mormon church, stated it was a regretable accident that should never have happened. in his speech he left no doubt mormons were responsible. he did not indict [ b. young ] , but latter evidence indicated [ young ]set into motion events that led to the killings. bones doug up at site indicated children as young as 3 were shot.a lot of politicle pressure was brought all around by the church to cover up the incident. even several years ago prominent politicians were still trying to subdue it. regardles the stain against gods chosen church remains g. hinkley did not want a movie made of it, but one was made anyway. a number of books have been written on the subject, well researched, stating mormons were responsible for massacure. subject closed. your response??
